Library News
The last day for student library book check out will be Friday, May 30th. Students can keep a book they are reading until Friday June 6th.
Numerous notices will be going home with students who have not returned books. We will also be checking the shelves and classrooms for missing books. The missing book fine will follow students to the next year, even for the 5th graders. Please notify Mrs. Radmer, 831-8403, if you have a concern about a book.
We will again have our annual used paperback bookexchange. It will start Monday June 2. For that first week students can bring in gently used, age- appropriate books and will receive a ticket in exchange. Please don’t send in pre-school books or books of older subject matter. The week of
June 9th, after some books have been collected, the students can exchange their tickets for the used books or bring books in to exchange. The
exchange will close on Friday the 13th.
It has been a great year in the library. Have a safe and restful summer.

Book Fair News
Thank you to all who made the Fair a fantastic one.
Battle of the Books is starting in January for the fourth and fifth grade students. Congratulations to team "Revenge" in their success winning back the district trophy.
See the information provided on the pages for Fourth and Fifth Grade.
Overdue and Damaged Books
Two weeks after a book is checked out, it is considered overdue. Books can be renewed by just bringing it in and checking it out again. If your child receives a notice, please have him/her check at home, in the car, in the school desk, in the teachers book collection and in the library.
Damaged books are happening more often. Commonly the damage is done by a water bottle or juice box in the back pack. Please put either the book or the liquid in a ziplock bag.
